WHO WE ARE

 

From 2014, several contracts have been signed for land and overseas oil and gas exploitation in Western Greece (Epirus, Etoloakarnania, West Katakolo, Ionian sea and the sea west and south of Crete), as well as the construction of huge pipelines (EastMed). 

 

We are women dancing to highlight the imminent destruction of our mountains, plains, rivers and seas from senseless and destructive oil/gas drilling in some of the most pristine areas of Greece.

We are women trying to prevent the last, untouched, areas of our country being turned into oil/gas company playgrounds.

We are women who have understood the danger of irreversibly contaminating our waters from oil/gas extraction.

We are women who feel that our generation ought not be allowed to deprive all next generations of their last pure, drinking water reserves and fertile lands.

We are women who demand effective and binding measures to prevent imminent climate change by transitioning to a zero carbon economy and limiting temperature rise to 1.5 degrees C.
